Communication and engagement for the new european citizen-consumer

How is the figure of the European citizen-consumer changing within the growing information cloud that surrounds us? How is it possible to distinguish and understand the values of European citizenship? How should civil society and the Institutions move in order to define new models for dialogue, values and services? How is it possible to decide, when faced with an ever wider and undifferentiated diffusion of contents that contrast with the demand for correctness and transparency?

These are the questions that form the basis of the first edition of the International Communication Summit Europe, in Brussels. Objective: the search for new solutions, shared and co-managed in order to guarantee, through communication, those principles of participation and knowledgeable use of values, products and services that, today, in the European Year of the Citizens, appear less idealistic and more concrete. But, it is precisely for this reason that they are also more difficult to understand, de-codify and manage in the most adequate way.
