Tunisia: the high-tech trade has its own revolution

The latest generation digital technologies meet the Tunisian retail world: in the Mediterranean capital, one of the largest shopping centers in the African continent has been inaugurated, with modern and high-tech design

To all consumers which are looking for new purchasing experiences, Tunis now can offer one of the largest shopping centers in Tunisia and the entire African continent: the Tunisia Mall-Lac 2, which opened its doors last December.

With a modern and European style design, the Tunisia Mall has an area of 37,000 square meters, distributed over four floors. More than 40 specialized Tunisian enterprises worked to build it, for a cost that is around 90 million dinars ( about 41 million euro), plus 40 million dinars (about 18.2 million euro) for furniture and equipment for business premises.

But the flagship of Tunisia Mall is technology: not only because is equipped with an internal and external surveillance cameras system of high-precision, but also because it has free wifi and digital information points and tablets on each floor, in order to find out the map of the entire shopping center, from the 80 points of sale of prestigious international brands to the many restaurants on the top floor, which offer a wide range of culinary specialties.

During 2016, a further expansion of 30 stores and the doubling of the parking area – which now contains up to 500 cars – has already been scheduled. That way, Tunis is becoming the new commercial capital of fashion and leisure.
