Michelangelo Pistoletto for Blumm Prize: art and communication starring on Sky

SkyArte HD and Pomilio Blumm to undertake the project of a new and brave TV format at international level: a docu-reality as a source of talent, ethical reflection, artistic experimentation. Among the jurors: Michelangelo Pistoletto

An unprecedented concept, an engaging formula, international location and protagonists: the realisation of the innovative TV project launched by SkyArte HD together with Pomilio Blumm and the Blumm Prize continues, with the involvement of influential names from the contemporary art scene such as Michelangelo Pistoletto.

The programme, consisting of four episodes, will host a prestigious jury of experts who will appraise the work of six emerging artists from all over the world. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting challenge on the fascinating field of artistic experimentation, which will concern different areas from Europe to the Mediterranean.

But there’s more: the competing works – called upon to interpret more and more important concepts for our times, such as identity and citizenship – will be judged on the basis of their aesthetic value as well as their ethic and moral worth. The principles inspiring the award are the same characterising Pomilio Blumm’s vision: the agency has, indeed, built its own privileged research and activity field around the construction of a new communication between Institutions and citizens

Design is a thought activity: we should not replace it with a mere “optimizing” approach, because it’s from imperfections that talent emerges.
